Here are five photographs, which I call quick snatches. So called because there is a lot of luck involved, but also in being prepared. I carry a camera most of the time and I’m always ready to capture what comes into view or the unexpected. It is being prepared for the unexpected and reacting quickly that makes it a quick snatch. Sometimes it’s a terrible shot and sometimes it’s just luck.
These photographs were taken near or close by my home in the North west Highlands.

Hier sind fünf Fotos, die ich Schnappschüsse nenne, weil es dabei um viel Glück geht, aber auch darum, vorbereitet zu sein. Ich trage die meiste Zeit eine Kamera mit mir herum und bin immer bereit zu fotografieren, was ich sehe oder was unerwartet ist. Auf das Unerwartete vorbereitet zu sein und schnell zu reagieren ist, was es zu einem schnellen Schnappschuss macht. Manchmal ist es ein schreckliches Foto und manchmal ist es einfach nur Glück.
Diese Fotos wurden in der Nähe oder in der Nähe meines Hauses im Nordwesten der Highlands aufgenommen.
